Any scuttle butt on the track conditions or layout for Jamestown.
I am sure it is 12 miles of awsome single line perfect dirt no mud no dust.

Well we had a good size crew out at the property last saturday laying out the trail in the rain. We are changing it up a bit from previous years to keep it fresh for you guys, so hopefully you guys enjoy it. The trail was 9 miles last year, and probably that again this year. Weather looks good now thru sunday so it should dry up quite a bit by race time. If I can get a signal I'll give a better trail report Saturday evening from my cell.
PEEWEE RACE - Bring the little guys along so they can have some fun too! For the peewee 50 (advanced and beginner) class we will once again have a seperate course from the larger 2 peewee classes. This is probably one of the easier peewee 50 courses since its very flat, and in a open wooded area. I'll try and zig zag them around a few tree's and make it as long as possible. Last year I think it took about a minute to make a lap. Race will start about 3ish, or as soon as we get the main trail swept. NO PIT RIDING - (KEEP THE PEEWEE bikes on the trailer till race time) edited by gentges on 5/20/2010

Also Just a reminder Hwy 179 is closed at Sandy Hook due to the Missouri river. Coming from the South on 54, Get off on Hwy 87 in Eldon and follow it north to 179 north of Jamestown. Take 179 to hwy P towards Lupus. Coming in from other directions shouldn't change. There will be arrows up on the highway.

Hwy 179 opened back up on Wed. Unless we get dumped on with more rain it should stay open. (This is Hwy 179 between Jamestown and Jefferson City if you are not familiar with the large town of Sandy Hook).

Also the directions on the MHSC site incorrectly say to take 87 North to Hwy 179 East, it should actually be 87 North to 179 North, to Hwy P.

Yeah it was hot and the track was challenging but I was having a pretty good race battling back and forth with matheny until I had get off into a locust tree and put a 4" thorn through my right hand and Good size one found it's way into the side of my neck and several in my arm. After pulling the what felt like a 9d nail out of my hand I just couldn't hold on or squeeze anything, so I had to pull off. All I gotta say is thank God for the protective gear that we wear, because I had a clump of those things embedded in the plastic of my chest protector! If wouldn't have been wearing one I would, well it just wouldn't be good. It was no my bes performance and definately not proud of the finish but was able to score some points and stay in the hunt, and lookin forward to marceline. edited by ktmbiri on 5/24/2010

Appreciate all those that came out to Jamestown this past weelkend. The heat and all the moisture prior to the race added another element to the always challenging course at Jamestown. Honestly, our intent was to lay out an easier course this year, but seeing the results that obviously didn't happen. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions on how we (Show Me Motorsports Club) can improve the race at Jamestown I think we would be open to suggestions.

Yeah don't run the course right next to a locust tree . Other than that I dont think the course was any more difficult than any of the other places. The only thing you had no control over was the conditions and there was nothing you can do about it being 90 degrees and water logging from the umpteen inches of rain we've had. I thought the course was overall fine. It had some good elevation changes, some good log crossings with rocks some field crossings you know nothing any different than any other race. I think you did a good job and If u ask spud I'm sure he would say it was spud worthy. For the most part i think it was more outside factors that kept numbers down. Not trying to start anything but if we wanted to trailride and get a tropy for it we would ride another series one state over !! See u at Eugene edited by ktmbiri on 5/26/2010

Since you asked... One time I took a first in my class, can I have that course somemore? Seriously though, how many more thousands of acres do we need to race on without having to make single line trail bordered by barbed wire fence? Waiver or not that seems like a liability for the race promoter to me :-;
